for my Father;

unless you've lived on the land
as you have all of your life,
it is hard to explain to anyone
how much the hills & valleys
become a part of you.
you once said to me;
"Isn't it wonderful to own
an acre of this great country?"
I'm not sure the good Lord
intended for us to own land,
more likely he simply placed it
in our care for a short time.
one thing is for sure:
The farm will always be there
waiting for us to visit
and a part of it
will always be here with us.
